Ah yes, the Midpoint Music Festival. A Cincinnati tradition, a legacy, but a festival that is not without its detractors at times as well. I took on the festival last year (sorta) and stand by that somewhat passionate post to this day.
This year however, things are changing, at least I hope […]

My Forecastle weekend was a good one, but was marred by issues with my camera, even so, I was able to get off some shots on the first night of GZA & Del The Funky Homosapien. Check them out………

Have I ever posted about Bob Dylan? Well, maybe not. Considering what we try to do is push new music and artists on you here, ole’ Bobby probably does not fit that mold very well now does he? At any rate, I have been a big fan of Bob’s for longer […]

In what is being billed as the first Conor Oberst solo album in 13 years, Bright Eyes has shed that moniker and supposedly his band for an upcoming release on Merge Records. The record is a self titled affair and hits stores August 5th.
Merge is sharing the first song from the record […]

I don’t attach the ENS name to many shows, mostly because I feel I am busy enough already. But I had to be a part of this one. These United States are returning to the Cincinnati area next month for what promises to be a great show at the Gypsy Hut on August […]

I really enjoyed the full length album from Fields last year, Everything Last Winter, and wrote about it here. After those sessions the band went right back to work starting on the music for a new record, their second. The album was mixed in New York by Chris Zane (White Rabbits, Shychild, Les […]
