After a little over three years of serving as a home for live experimental music in Cincinnati, Northside’s Art Damage Lodge will be closing its doors at the end December. As a way of saying goodbye (and to help fund the move), the organizers of the D.I.Y. space are planning a final farewell show and garage sale.

Uncle Dave Lewis and Stare Case will perform on tonight and Ryan Jewell and the Gospel of Luthor the Geek will be there Saturday. Both shows start at 9pm and will feature many other acts.
The garage sale will be going on from 10am until midnight Friday and Saturday and 1pm until 5pm on Sunday. The organizers of the Lodge will be selling off stacks of CD’s, cassettes, Records, DVD’s, VHS, music gear, a/v gear, comics and more. As shoppers peruse, various televisions throughout the space will be playing a rotating collection of obscure art films and idiosyncratic video tapes.
The Art Damage Lodge will gladly accept any donations and put them towards the effort of finding a new venue.

If you’re a fan of the Lodge and “weird” music in general, this weekend will provide a chance to say goodbye to one of the best outlets for it in Cincinnati, as well as pick up some items for your personal collection.

About

Joe started ENS in 2003 after most people he wanted to talk to about music were worn thin by his ramblings. The outlet this site provided helped out, and somehow is still going 9 years later. After a four year stint as a WOXY DJ, Joe returned to Cincinnati and continues to pioneer ENS. In addition to the overall look and feel of the site, Joe provides regular reviews, and kinda makes sure this whole thing stays afloat.
