Bad Veins are a local Cincinnati act that has officially qualified as one of the most intriguing bands to hit our humble scene in some time. The three member band, which claims its 1973 Pioneer reel to reel recorder as its third member, brings some unique vocal techniques to the stage. Lead man Ben Davis sings through a megaphone and an old telephone at times as well to create the fuzzy vocals that go hand in hand with Sebastien Schultz timely percussion. The guys are still just getting started though, you can pick up a four song EP of thiers at shows, but “only if you ask”, as Ben made it clear the other night.
Here is a song from that EP, have a listen.
Also, be sure to head over to The Anchor Center for a video of the guys doing their thing last Sunday night.
