Bat For Lashes
Natasha Khan is the voice of the band Bat for Lashes. With a well traveled upbringing that saw her spend time growing up in parts of Pakistan, Khan has always been an artist at heart. When her film and music studies in art school began turning heads she took up residence in Brighton, England and began to form the sounds and members of Bat For Lashes. Along with Natasha, the band is comprised of Ginger Lee, who plays piano, guitars, harpsichord, autoharp and other electronic machines, as does Khan. And Abi, who handles the percussion and viola duties.

Khans vocals make the most sense to a new listener when put alongside the likes of Kate Bush, Siouxsie Sioux, and Cat Power. She also cites Steve Reich and Susan Hiller as influences.
