It’s the time of year when touring bands are simply not doing a whole lot of touring. And they are doing even less here in Cincinnati. For the most part, November, December and even parts of January are pretty dry for live shows that are not locals, but that trend is bucked this weekend at MOTR.
Bear Hands, from Brooklyn, New York, has been through our area in the past, but never before with a full length album under their belts. They released their debut long player earlier this year, Burning Bush Supper Club, and it is getting far too little attention. The album is out on Cantora Records right now and has been a record I am having a hard time stepping away from.
The band is great live as well, and that basically leaves you with no reason to miss their show this Saturday night the 27th at one of the best new bars in Cincinnati, MOTR. Not only do you get Bear Hands, but you also get recommended opener Hesta Prynn, formerly of the all-female hip hop group Northern State, as well.
