Good list.

Boxer tops my list so far this year too. I was disappointed by the offerings from Arcade Fire and Wilco, but I may have placed too many expectations on them. Spoon’s inclusion is a bit premature, even though I’ve heard the leak (I still find their material to be the boring side of staccato). I hope towards the end of the year that The Clientele’s God Save The Clientele, Blonde Redhead’s 23, and Stars of the Lid’s And Their Refinement Of The Decline receive more attention and accolade.

Spoon isn’t even out yet.

I find both The National and Andrew Bird albums to be massive disappointments after their previous albums, particularly The National. Sad.

I particularly appreciate your inclusion of The Twilight Sad. I just can’t stop listening to that album. Maybe Scottish accents just turn me on, I don’t know (heLLO, Cinematics!).

Yeah, Muse was 2006, but I still give them credit for creating an album that made me want to overthrow the government AND get my dance on – all at the same time. Good show, chaps!

Seriously, Dave: get over the KOL fixation. We get it; they rock.

dave, i expected no less from you, and its a good album no doubt from KOL. and gmack, I’m a Muse fan, but they won’t be making a best of 07 list unless they release an album this year…
