Bo Diddley passed away today at the age of 79. Diddley did alot in his time as a musician and is one of the few guitarists I know of that had a beat named after him. The “Bo Diddley Beat” is most
widely represented on the song, “Who Do You Love” which Diddley penned back in 1956. The song was often covered and is known to many.
And while it is hard not to forget him for this, at least within the realm of pop culture, I will probably always remember him most from this clip below, where he performs with Tom Petty Live at the Fillmore. It’s a fun watch/listen, and Diddley kicks in his verse in the last minute. R.I.P Bo…..

I was sad to hear that Bo Diddley died. That guy had an amazing career and life. And I just loved his guitar, the Twang Machine. It looked so cool and unusual for a guitar! He sure could make is sing.
