Boomslang – Lexington’s weird, wonderful art and experimental music festival – takes place next weekend (September 20-23). Team ENS has been to Boomslang twice (in ’09 and ’10), and every year it seems to gain more momentum and attract larger headliners. This year is no exception, luring Jeff Mangum of Neutral Milk Hotel out of hiding, as well as the epic Jesus and Mary Chain. While I’ll gladly seize the opportunity to catch some of the bands sharing the MPMF bill (Janka Nabay & The Bubu Gang, Dinosaur Feathers, Cloud Nothings), I’ve reached Pee Pants status for Jeff Mangum and TJMC.
