Live at the Brothel
Well, the season of festivals is way past its limit, but I have to admit, anything in Cincinnati with good bands playing, and for multiple days, is something Im down with. The East End Cafe is hosting the first ever Brothel Fest at the end of September, right after Midpoint is over actually. September 28, 29 and 30th to be exact, and there are some really good bands scheduled to play.

The where and why of this weekend…

East End Cafe originally opened as a stag hotel in 1867. In such close proximity to the Ohio river, travellers would wander up the banks to the hotel and there they would find a little relaxation. The top floors of the hotel operated as a brothel until sometime in the 1980’s. Inspired by this illicit tradition in the heart of conservative Cincinnati, East End Cafe has started a 3 day music festival on the last weekend of September featuring a stellar line-up of indie rock bands from the midwest region.

Have a look at the lineup.

Pegasus Unicorn
The Hawk
AutoVaughn
Spellbox
Catfish Haven
High Society
Peter Adams
The Scourge Of The Sea
Your Black Star
500 Miles To Memphis

Also today be sure to check out Pete over at The Anchor Center, the videoblog. Pete is taking a unique and really fun look at the review of an mp3. Check it.
