bunburry Bunbury Festival comes out swinging
We had our doubts when we didn’t hear a peep from the folks at the upcoming Bunbury Festival since their kick off party last summer. It turns out, they were just busy booking huge headlining acts for their inaugural festival this summer in Cincinnati. Yes, you are reading that poster right, Weezer, Death Cab for Cutie and Jane’s Addiction are all slated to play at Sawyer Point this summer!

Jane’s Addiction will perform on Friday, July 13 (9:30 p.m.) with Weezer on Saturday, July 14 (9:30 p.m.) and Death Cab for Cutie on Sunday, July 15 (8:30 p.m.).

Not seeing the names of the others just yet (more coming next week), but the weight has shifted to Cincinnati a bit after the My Morning Jacket to Forecastle announcement a few weeks ago. So now you have quite a few choices to make Midwest concert goers, Cincinnati for Bunbury, Louisville for Forecastle or Chicago for Pitchfork.

I should also mention that tickets are on sale at www.bunburyfestival.com: $46 for one-day passes, $93 for three-day passes.

Whatcha think?

About

Joe started ENS in 2003 after most people he wanted to talk to about music were worn thin by his ramblings. The outlet this site provided helped out, and somehow is still going 9 years later. After a four year stint as a WOXY DJ, Joe returned to Cincinnati and continues to pioneer ENS. In addition to the overall look and feel of the site, Joe provides regular reviews, and kinda makes sure this whole thing stays afloat.

#1 euro60 :

Just bought my 3 day pass. As I mentioned somewhere else, with the Pitchfork Fest in Chicago and the Forecastle Fest in Louisville the very same weekend, I can see quite a few bands shuffling around between those 3 festivals that weekend. Wouldn’t that be something. Anyway, like Joe, I also had my doubts as we handn’t heard squat about this for months. but now that it looks like it’s happening, I’m very excited.
