“Louisville, Kentucky rock outfit, Old Baby, follow in the steps of classic, guitar-heavy rock, the kind that you picture brewing for hours in some smoke-filled basement, a jam session that is so good it never ends.” – Speak Into My Good Eye
Old Baby is exactly what Bunbury needs to shut up all the Bunbury haters. While some balk at the festival’s more “hipster” headliners like Fun and MGMT, Old Baby sits quietly at the other end of the spectrum. The Louisville group’s dark brooding southern rock, anchored by heavy and washed out guitars, is the perfect foil to the more upbeat, indie pop bands that help define the festival.
Old Baby’s first LP Love Hangover (Karate Body Records) is out August 6th, and if their single “Into the Earth” is any indication of the record, you’ll definitely be hearing more about these guys.
