Post Thumbnail of Hudepohl 14k Brewery Run: Bands Needed

Maybe you follow me on Twitter and know that one of my favorite beers is Hudepohl Amber Lager. I’m a big fan of the Hudepohl family of beers actually, and love to support the Cincinnati brand whenever I get a chance. So when they asked me to be …

Indigo Wild Premieres “Rowboats”, EP Soon To Follow

 Cincinnati, MP3s and Music News

Indigo Wild is a band that’s been on my radar for a while now, and I’m happy to announce the premiere of their music video for “Rowboats”, the first single off their debut EP due September 9th. The self-described “Columbus-born and Cincinnati-raised” folk group have steadily gained exposure playing shows in Cincinnati and in their home base of Columbus, but until now, had little more than links to their demos and a piece of candy stuffed inside plastic Easter eggs to pass out at shows (a genius marketing ploy, might I add).

ENS teams up with MidPoint for Saturday day party!

Post Thumbnail of ENS teams up with MidPoint for Saturday day party!

Exciting news today, as we are proud to be teaming with the good people at the MidPoint Music Festival for an official day party. For veterans of festivals like SXSW, the day party is a fixture, but it is only just beginning here in Cincinnati. For its 10th anniversary, we hope this continues to build out the idea that MidPoint is more than just a late night concert event. Also, we hope to give people options to see bands early in the day that they might miss later, or just to see them again in a new environment.

Alone at 3AM back with a new album

 Cincinnati, MP3s and Music News

We’ve have talked about Alone at 3AM before here on ENS, and I have always counted myself as a fan of this criminally underrated Cincinnati group. The guys play some great Americana, in the same vein at Drive-By Truckers or Lucero, and I just got my first taste of …

My Morning Jacket and craft beer?

Post Thumbnail of My Morning Jacket and craft beer?
 Cincinnati and Music News

Tomorrow night, Louisville’s own My Morning Jacket will be here in the Cincinnati area for a show at PNC Pavilion. It promises to be a great show, if for no other reason than the fact that MMJ is one of the best live bands around and is touring a really strong album in Circuital. But there are plenty of other reasons to get yourself down to the show tomorrow night as well, so I thought I would lay out three off the top of my head.

Free Handsome Furs tickets up for grabs

Have you heard the latest offering from Handsome Furs yet? In my opinion, it’s their best to date and with the recent announcement of Wolf Parade’s ‘indefinite hiatus’, its the closest thing to WP that fans can experience.

Sean Daley (aka Slug) is one busy guy. A few days ago, he managed to squeeze in time for a quick conversation with Each Note Secure while tending to press duties at the KahBang Music Festival in Maine. Even with all his obligations of the day, Daley came …

Paul McCartney mesmerizes Cincinnati

One of the greatest songwriters of the past several decades played a concert in Cincinnati last week, and cemented his place in the hearts and minds of his fans. I was lucky enough to be in attendance, and have a few thoughts to share about my experience.
