Ok, I’ll admit it. I basically ignored Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. for months because I thought their name was downright silly. I’m not an anti-NASCAR person, or even against the occasional irony stricken band name, but I just looked past it after I got a press email letting me know about the band for the first time.

If you happened to catch Buffalo Killers during Memorial Day weekend on the Metromix Stage during Taste Of Cincinnati, you know they played one of the best sets of the weekend. The Cincinnati trio was as polished as ever during their set, which included a bunch of new material. I spoke with the guys afterwards and they seemed really excited about the new album coming out this summer.

The first time I heard UME, I became a fan. The first time I saw UME perform live, I became a big fan. The Austin based band has been at the front of the pack in my mind for a few years now, so it’s exciting to welcome them back to the Cincinnati area tonight for a show at the Mad Hatter in Covington.
