If you are from the Cincinnati area and have been around these parts of a bit, you already know that Heartless Bastards are one of the most prized bands to come out of our area in awhile. The trio released an excellent album earlier this year, The Mountain, which to nobody’s surprise we love, and are out on the road supporting the album. The band are now located in Austin, but none of us mind as long as they continue to roll out this excellent music.

And tonight, the opener is going to tear it up as much as the headliner as fellow Texas residents Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears just released their debut album, Tell Em’ What Your Name Is and the album is all kinds of fun. Seriously, if you show up late for this one and miss Black Joe, you are going to regret it.

The gig is tonight at the Madison Theater in Covington, but don’t let that stop you from catching what should be a great night of music.
