decemberists Colin Meloy sings Shirley Collins
The Decemberists own Colin Meloy, already famous for his EP of Morrissey covers which were available only at his solo gigs, has done it again. This time covering overs of British folk artist Shirley Collins Some were lucky enough to get their hands on the EP, which I understand is only available to about 300 of his closest friends. I noticed YANP already jumped in on this and posted a track on Friday, so, Ill throw a different one up for those collecting the EP the old fashioned way, by download.

Colin Meloy- Cherry Tree Carol (Shirley Collins cover)

Also, a nice little bonus for you all today. Here are a couple Decemberists tracks from the Picaresqueties, the Picaresque vinyl with some bonus footage.

About

Joe started ENS in 2003 after most people he wanted to talk to about music were worn thin by his ramblings. The outlet this site provided helped out, and somehow is still going 9 years later. After a four year stint as a WOXY DJ, Joe returned to Cincinnati and continues to pioneer ENS. In addition to the overall look and feel of the site, Joe provides regular reviews, and kinda makes sure this whole thing stays afloat.
