Chicago’s Coltrane Motion have a soft spot in their hearts for Cincinnati, and we for them, because of some long standing ties. The band is on the Datawaslost album, also tied to the Queen City and released a really good album last year titled Songs About Music.

And now, great news is they are heading out on tour, with a new 7″ in tow. The new single is called “The Year Without A Summer”, b/w “Maya Blue” and Datawaslost is releasing it as a 7″ on colored vinyl, and 75orLess Records is doing it as a short-run screenprinted cd with bonus remixes.

Sounds good to me! In addition, the guys will be making a stop here in Cincinnati to play Northside Tavern on March 14th with two recommended Cincinnati bands, You, You’re Awesome and Culture Queer.
