In what seems to be an incredibly odd pairing, other than the fact that they are labelmates, Bon Iver and Black Mountain will be hitting the tri-state area on March 8th at the Southgate House in Newport. Both artists, though very different are a great fit for our area and I expect this to be a pretty well attended show.
If you are unfamiliar with Bon Iver, his debut album gets a proper release (after a self release last year) on Jagjaguwar Records Feb. 19th, while the latest installment from Black Mountain is available now. Here is a song from each.
