Coming To Cincinnati - Spoon, White Rabbits, The Walkmen

Remember back when Spoon was slated to play at Bogarts last fall, only to choose Saturday Night Live instead? Well, at that time, the band said they would come back through town soon, and most of us rolled our eyes and said, “sure you will”. Well, it looks like Britt Daniel and company are a band of their word (I knew it all along ;)….

And not only are they returning, but the show is considerably more attractive than their last slated show, with the exception of the fact that it will still be taking place at Bogarts. White Rabbits and The Walkmen join Spoon for the show, which really makes me want to lift my Bogarts boycott, I was close last time, and now, well, I might just follow through on that threat. The show is April 5th….

    Aaron, right you are, had not noticed that the first time through. Oh well, I guess my Bogarts boycott continues!

    Joe, I hear you on the Bogart’s ban and understand the draw of the MusicNow Festival. But I’ll be going to Bogart’s. Final night of MusicNow has Andrew Bird and Grizzly Bear. I’ve seen Grizzly Bear before, but not Andrew Bird. But Spoon trumps it all. I saw them once - in Austin during SXSW - and it blew me away. Very little can make me miss a Spoon show, even if it’s at Bogart’s during MusicNow. Add the Walkmen and White Rabbits. You tell me how the final night of MusicNow was and I’ll tell you how the Spoon show was.

    Darin, I understand man, I love Spoon. Saw them at Bonnaroo last year, (pic above) and loved every minute. But I am invested in MusicNOW and everything is means to Cincinnati. I have been each of the first two years and can’t break my streak! Have fun at Spoon though, they won’t dissapoint…..
