I don’t know if I have ever done a “Coming To Cincinnati” post for a show at a venue of this size, but it’s pretty nice to see the boys from The Greenhornes, who of course are also Raconteurs, coming to Cincy for a bit of a hometown show, at National City Pavilion, (which is actually good ole Riverbend) no less.
The band will hit up our fair city on their way to Bonnaroo, June 10th. Opening act is Black Lips for our show, but Jack White and company are also touring with The Fiery Furnaces and Birds Of Avalon for other dates. All dates after the jump.
Of course, as you all know by now the new album, Consolers Of The Lonely, is available everywhere. Check out the video for “Salute Your Solution” below.

As Mike points out, this is NOT riverbend. Repeat: NOT riverbend. This is the 4,000 seat new venue that is being built as we speak on the outer confines of the site that already houses Riverbend, which will continue to exist on its own and unchanged. Call the new venue Cincinnati’s version of Columbus’ PromoWest Pavillion (or whatever it’s called these days). I happen to be thrilled with this new venue, even tough I haven’t seen it yet of course.

i think the National City Pavilion is the new “mini” venue-within-a-venue that they just built at riverbend. so it won’t be on the main stage there…
