We already know what Bryce Dessner can do when it comes to curating. Bryce heads up a team that puts on one of the best music events in the city each year called MusicNOW. Of course, he is best known for his role in The National, one of our favorite bands that originated here in Cincinnati.

And now, Bryce and his brother and band mate Aaron have enlisted loads of talented musicians for the “Dark Was The Night” compilation. It will be available as a double cd/triple vinyl/download and will benefit the Red Hot Organization – an international charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for HIV and AIDS.

Not only does the album feature a brand new song from The National, but it also is comprised of an amazing group of artists that also do brand new tracks. Among them are Sufjan Stevens, Feist, Spoon, My Brightest Diamond, The Decemberists and loads more.
