I was always a big fan of Pedro The Lion, so naturally I wondered what might be next once Bazan and former percussionist TW Walsh parted ways and dropped the PTL band name last year. It did not take long for Bazan to resurface, with his Fewer Moving Parts EP, which I mentioned last year.

The EP recently got a re-release (or an actual release) from Barsuk Records and is getting in front of many for the first time, so Dave is busy touring it (including a date in Cincinnati) and doing selected performances around the states right now. Most notably are his stops at Daytrotter, a appearance on a Take Away Show (video below), and he contributed his cover of Radioheads Let Down to the OK Computer Tribute compilation as well. David has been playing Let Down live for a couple years now so it was a great fit for a great tribute disc.

Also of note is that David will be releasing a new full length with Barsuk soon as well, under the moniker David Bazan’s Black Cloud.
