There are certain cities that come with a slightly higher reputation for good music than others. Some that come to mind are Seattle, Memphis, Austin, and of course Athens, Georgia. Everyone knows about R.E.M. & The B-52′s, but the city has also spawned some great bands more recently in Drive-By Truckers, The Whigs, & Now It’s Overhead to name a few.

Well if you have not already done so, you can add the boys from Dead Confederate to that list as well, as their debut long players is about to shake things up not only in Athens, but all around the states as well. You may remember us hailing the debut EP from these guys, and the full length takes all that was good about that introduction and flesh it out into 10 songs of rollicking, whiskey soaked, vein popping rock n roll.
