Dead Heart Bloom
Being the big WOXY fan that I am here in Cincy (by the way, support the station and purchase a subscription, details here) I heard a track from the band Dead Heart Bloom and quickly dismissed it as a nice song that I didnt have the time or energy to find out more about. So, imagine my surprise to receive an email from Boris Skalsky detailing his band Dead Heart Bloom and then realizing that the track I had heard, “New Messiah” was in fact one of theirs. The bands current self titled album is more than worth your time and energy, as I found out. Plus you can download the entire album from the DHB website in a nice tidy zip file. Here are two tracks that stand out though for your sampling pleasure.

    I totally agree with your piece. DHB stand above the rest. I, myself found them whilst shifting thru the piles of bands on MYSPACE.com. Refreshing to the ears and totally absorbing melodies and lyrics. I’ve of course downloaded the album from the site but will be willing to pay for such a gem when it comes out proper.
