One of the best electronipunk acts in the midwest are back at it again, and this time they have a full length album to share with you. Yeah, it’s the third go-round for Eat Sugar, but this time they flesh things out a bit more in the form of their first long player, an album called ¡Levantense!

The record sees the guys employing John Schmersal of Enon again for production work, and it also sees the band taking some big steps forward with their sound. The rough edges of their first two releases seem to be smoothed out, but without the loss of what made so many of their songs instant dancers. The guys continue to use the electro sounds we have come to expect, but take it from them, they are not just some dudes with laptops.

The 10 song release is ready for you to consume digitally on August 24th and features some excellent new tracks that bring to mind more of a dark David Bowie feel than we expected to hear, and we like it. Songs like “Clap Yr Hands” and “Run The Company” are not entirely new, but get the full studio treatment for this release and help unify the effort.

All in all, it’s another excellent release that you can’t afford to miss out on. So lets start you off with this new one called “Shadowside.”
