We here at ENS have always had one specific goal in mind. We want to curate content that we feel is excellent. This means that when there is a new band from Cincinnati or beyond that we can bring to your attention, we write about it. It means when and great concert is coming to town, we let you know. When music news breaks, we do our best to bring you that information in a timely, efficient way. But ENS is almost seven years old, and as the music blogosphere evolves, we want to evolve with it.
That’s why we started planning live sessions. My (Joe) experience with WOXY and the hundreds of live sessions we did helped give me a jumpstart on what components we would need to make things happen. And to be honest with you, the pieces are still falling into place. We got together about a month ago with some talented and interested friends to do our first session, but just as a test. Although I wasn’t sure if we would share the content with you for this first go-round, after seeing and hearing it, I can’t keep it to myself.
So get your ears and eyes around the first Each Note Secure live session. To kick things off, we chose one of our favorite new Cincinnati bands, Sacred Spirits. The video was shot by Keith Klenowski, who also did the still photography. Brian Niesz, a veteran of hundreds of WOXY sessions and countless other projects is responsible for the audio and edited our first video. And our gracious host was Audiogrotto in Newport, Kentucky, whos space was the perfect fit as we attempt to get this series off the ground.
Today we start a new chapter in the life of Each Note Secure, or at least let you in on a current experiment. Enjoy the photos and video and stay tuned for some new MP3′s we plan to add to this as well.
