After a nearly three year hiatus, Field Music are back and in a big way. The brothers Brewis (David & Peter) are planning a double album in 2010, which is slated for release in February. And it’s not like the guys have been away from recording and performing during the Field Music hiatus. David and Peter, plus several others, released an excellent album last year under the name The Week That Was.

The brothers sited the stifling “indie band” format as the main reason for putting “Field Music as a band” on hiatus and subsequently started working separately, but with a renewed vigour at their 8 Music studio. After The Week That Was and another album David released under the Sea From Shore moniker, the guys are back at their roots, making sounds as Field Music.
