When it comes to music festivals here in the Midwest, we don’t get much outside of Chicago. And even though a few have popped up in recent years, the real midwest heavyweight each year is the Forecastle Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. I went to my first Forecastle last summer and was very impressed by the layout and the event as a whole. The festival organizers have just announced the full music lineup for this years event, and I am pretty excited about alot of the bands playing.
The headliners have been known for awhile, and you gotta love the inclusion of The Black Keys and The Black Crowes, should be a blast with those bands. But what really caught my attention was the middle of the lineup, which features bands like Royal Bangs, The Whigs, Dead Confederate, Gringo Star, Annuals, These United States and The Deep Vibration. Wow, really solid stuff there.
Not to mention some great inclusions, as always, from Cincinnati as well. Seabird, The Lions Rampant, Bad Veins and You, You’re Awesome are all playing the festival this year!
So grab your tickets for the 8th annual Forecastle Festival now!
