Indie Rock Summer continues today here in Cincinnati at the new Fountain Square with an excellent evening of music. The series has already featured some great locals on Fridays, like The Lions Rampant, Turnbull AC’s and Paper Airplane, among others.
This evening, two of our favorite Cincy acts will be taking the stage, when Bad Veins and Pomegranates both entertain the downtown crowd. Also stick around for The Koala Fires, who I have yet to hear, but just noticed feature a certain local filmmaker.

Excellent set from both these bands. Can’t wait for the Bad Veins album. I’ve heard their old stuff so much by now, that I secretly hope it won’t make it onto the album. I want new music!
Best thing about the evening was that Fountain Square was PACKED. That’s how a Friday evening in the ‘big city’ is meant to be. It was awesome being part of that.
