Frightened Rabbit and The Twilight Sad coming to Cincinnati

It’s difficult to believe that nearly six years have passed since I was first turned on to two of Scotland’s finest bands. But today, when I heard about upcoming tour dates for The Twilight Sad, who will be out supporting their countrymen and friends Frightened Rabbit, I wondered just when I started listening to them both.

The origin on ENS at least, seems to be my Best of 2007 list, where I praised their albums Sing The Greys and 14 Autumns & 15 Winters respectively. And to this day, those album are on the top of my personal list when it comes to the bands catalogs, although both have released some fantastic stuff in the years since.

So join me in excitement as both bands are coming to the Cincinnati area for a show at Bogarts on March 26th. Frightened Rabbit have a brand new record that they will no doubt have in heavy rotation come March called Pedestrian Verse. Here is the video to a brand new song called “The Woodpile.”

The Twilight Sad, in the meantime, have most recently released a remix album of songs from their album No One Can Ever Know.

What a great double-header bill! I cannot believe it’s been this long already but the only time I’ve seen the Twilight Sad was at the Monolith festival in September ’09 at the Red Rocks in Denver . I remember catching Frightened Rabbit in Cincy 2-3 years ago.
