I try to keep up to date on concerts. I wanna know who is coming to town in advance if possible. MidPoint Music Festival is all set to announce some headliners tomorrow, but it looks like one slipped today. Grizzly Bear are playing in Cincinnati this September and I’m betting that gets you pretty excited, I know I’m excited.
Might wanna buy those MidPoint passes now….

I agree, great booking. Why would you rather see them at Bunbury Nate?
I must confess I’m not totally familiar with the set-up of Midpoint . . . is getting the festival pass the best way to go on this one?
Matt, the festival pass is the ONLY way to “guarantee” yourself access to all the venues. I write that in quotes because even then there may sometimes be an issue if there is truly overcrowding (such as when Surfer Blood played MidPoint in 2010).
Grizzly Bear is the perfect type of ‘headliner’ for MidPoint, I hope they play at Grammer’s (open tent), which is the biggest venue MidPoint offers.
After I posted my response to Matt, I notice the following blurb on CityBeat, so it looks like there are some serious changes compared to years past (and ones for the betterment it looks like):
Perhaps the biggest news announced today was the addition of a new venue — a stage in the freshly remodeled Washington Park. The park venue is being called “MPMF.12′s main stage,” so expect many of the biggest acts to perform there. Fans can purchase advanced single-concert tickets for that main stage for the first time this year. The stage is open to fans of all ages.
Thanks for the tips, guys. The lineup is turning out to be insane!

Pretty big get for MidPoint. I’d rather see them at Bunbury, but I’ll certainly take this.
