If you have read much here at ENS, you know how much we love Heartless Bastards. The Cincinnati band, who now resides in Austin, Texas is a group we are proud to support, and always have been. I remember the first time I had the guts to call lead singer Erika Wennerstrom for an interview. She was at her apartment in Northside then, and could not have been nicer. It was interviews like that which helped me realize that musicians are just like us. Regular, everyday people.
That interview was nearly seven years ago, and a lot has happened for the band in the time since. But one thing remains, Erika is still holding things down and continues to be one of the most compelling lead singers in music today.
Heartless Bastards are coming home again, and as we know, have never forgotten their roots.
This time they are on tour with face melters Dead Confederate, another band that is easy for us to recommend. And you have one less excuse to try and miss this show, because it’s a two night stand at Southgate House Revival! That’s right, on both Friday January 25th and Saturday January 26th the two bands will be whipping the Cincinnati area into a mid-winter frenzy.
