41017 Jason Lytle coming to town
Jason Lytle is coming to Cincinnati very soon. The frontman for the now defunct act Grandaddy will be playing a solo acoustic gig at York St. Cafe in Newport on May 13. You may recall an interview here on ENS with Jason awhile back. The event is the Emmett Art Show. The event for Emmett is a great cause and some great artists and musicians are contributing.

A note from Emmett.

Hi. My name is Emmett Jameson O’Loughlin, and I am 2 years old. While being born, I got a severe brain injury from lack of oxygen. When I was born I wasn’t breathing and my heart stopped. I had to spend several weeks in the hospital, and I have been back for surgeries and several other complications. My brain injury has kept me from learning how to do things other kids my age can do like sit, walk, eat, talk and run. Some people call what I have Cerebral Palsy… It’s kinda hard, but I keep trying.

Last year some friends of mom and dad put together a great art show that really helped my parents pay for all of the medical bills and therapies for me. I’m excited to have another Emmett Art Show. It makes me feel special.

All of the artwork has been donated by really talented artists including some pieces by ME. All will be sold or auctioned at very reasonable prices. Plus, there are some cool t-shirts. We will have some wine (I’m too young) and cheese and live music to entertain you. I hope you can make it.

Here is the agenda for the evening.
6:00 – 6:40pm ~ Surface Music
7:00 – 7:40pm ~ The Dandy Beards
8:00 – 8:40pm ~ MercuroChrome
9:00 SILENT AUCTION ENDS! make sure your bids are in…
9:20 – 10:00pm ~ Bright Orange Robots
10:20pm ~ Jason Lytle from Grandaddy

Also, the following Monday, May 15th Jason will be dropping into the WOXY lounge to play an acoustic set and talk about the new Grandaddy disc! Im told to mark your calendars for 1pm that day, Ill update if I hear anything else.

Im hoping Jason will play some new stuff from the upcoming album, Just Like the Fambly Cat.
