As big fans of most things Wilco here at ENS, we were very saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Jay Bennett last year at the young age of 45. Jay was an incredibly talented musician who deserves alot of credit for records like Summerteeth and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, two of Wilco’s best albums.

Since leaving the band Jay continued to create, releasing five solo albums. He was at work on the sixth record when he passed, and now that album is being released. The record, titled Kicking at The Perfumed Air has a physical release date of July 10th and will also be available as a free download. The download of Kicking at the Perfumed Air is free, but donations are accepted and will benefit the newly launched Jay Bennett foundation or one of its partner charities. ‘Kicking at the Perfumed Air’ will also be available to purchase as a CD via the site also on July 10, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Foundation.
