John Vanderslice continues to extol the benefits of music blogs, he did this awhile back in an interview and is giving some
love to bloggers again in a video interview for The Merlin Show. Here is a quote from John, related to mp3 blogs that is a part of the interview.
“We are putting out a record in August and will not set aside 1$ for print advertising. Print Advertising is the biggest waste of money ever. Making a pitch to Rolling Stone or Spin, who cares? Honestly the thing that matters about mp3 blogs is that not only are you reading a recommendation from a credible, passionate person, but the music is right there, the link is right there.”
John goes on to mention blogs like Largehearted Boy, Brooklyn Vegan, and Gorilla Vs. Bear.
Also, John was in his hometown last night playing Noise Pop, and you can stream that show a little later today via this link……
