Great news today from one of our favorite musicians in the biz. John Vanderslice dropped a free EP on all of us today and you can download the whole thing right now. JV is of course one of the nicest dudes in indie rock, and continues to be one of the best songwriters as well. The new EP is titled Green Grow The Rushes and features: Ian Bjornstad, Carla Kihlstedt, Daniel Hart (St. Vincent), Matthias Bossi, George Ban-Weiss, and Ben Goldberg (who plays all the clarinets on “Penthouse Window”). Jim Eno from Spoon produced and engineered “Lay Down.”

In an episode of Peep Show, the marvelous Channel 4 show, our hero Mark Corrigan predicts the life arc of his accidental offspring in this way: “From boy to geek to ——-, that’s the Corrigan trajectory.” From boy to geek to what?
