Mute Records is proud to announce the signing of Swedish troubadour Jose Gonzalez. To celebrate the signing, Mute will re-release his internationally highly acclaimed debut CD Veneer on April 4. Veneer was originally released in America on Hidden Agenda records in September 2005 and has been garnering glowing reviews and strong sales. The record is already gold in the UK and spent several months in the Top 10 there as a result of tremendous press accolades, huge radio attention, massive touring, an appearance on “Top of the Pops” and a Sony Bravia TV campaign. In 2004, year Gonzalez won a Swedish Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
