Ive written about Kim Taylor here in the past, Im really an admirer of her music. So, I was pretty enthused to see something new come across from her and its high quality again. The new album, “I Feel Like a Fading Light”, is just what you would expect from Kim if you know her work. Exceptional lyrics and outstanding vocals that make me wonder if Chan Marshal aka Cat Power and Karen Berquist of Over The Rhine are somehow a part of Kims musical family tree, maybe some of the OTR rubbed off on her as she recently was supporting the Ohio band on tour.
The Cincinnatian has been busy of late, playing a great show at CMJ, and also crooning for WXPN’s nationally syndicated World Cafe program, which landed her artist of the week earlier this month.
