With a pedigree like Liam Finn has, it’s no surprise to see him continue to rise to the top of the heap. The son of Neil Finn released an excellent debut album last year, I’ll Be Lightning, on the Yep Roc label.

Liam is back in 2009, and along with his touring partner Eliza- Jane Barnes, has an excellent new release to drop. The new material is in the form of an EP, titled Champange Seashells. The project follows in the footsteps of I’ll Be Lightning in that Finn once again records and produces the whole thing himself.

The always busy Finn also formed a friendship with Jeff Tweedy and John Stirratt during the recording of the 7 Worlds Collide project at Finn’s father’s studio in New Zealand early this year, and Wilco has decided to bring the him and Eliza-Jane out on the road back here in the US this fall.
