Hold Time is just around the corner people, and we could not be more excited for the first solo record for M. Ward in almost 3 years. After we brought the title track to your attention via video recently, the anticipation jumped a notch. And now, the first mp3 to surface from the album!

“Never Had Nobody Like You” is an early favorite of mine from Hold Time, so I’m glad this is one of the first ones Merge decided to get out there. The tune is upbeat and features She & Him partner Zooey Deschanel. But don’t mistake this for a She & Him b-side, nope, this one sees Matt grabbing the reigns and doing what he does best.
