Anthony Gonzalez is the man behind M83, who released an excellent 1980′s soaked record earlier this year called Saturdays=Youth. The album has been in regular rotation for me, and it follows some other great records M83 has put out over the past 6 years.
And there is some great news for all M83 fans to pass along today as well because Mute Records has just announced that the entire M83 back catalog will be getting released on vinyl this fall. Each of these releases will include a bonus CD, and are all double LP’s with the exception of Digital Shades (previously a digital only release, issued on CD for the first time October 28, 2008).
Here are the records coming out on wax…
-Saturdays=Youth – originally released 2008
-Digital Shades Vol. 1 – originally released 2007 on digital format only
-Before the Dawn Heals Us – originally released 2005
-Dead Cities, Red Seas, and Lost Ghosts – originally released 2004
-M83 – originally released 2002
All five albums will be released on vinyl on November 25th
In addition, M83 will be hitting the road this fall/winter for a big tour with Kings Of Leon, all the dates can be found after the jump.
