Murder by Death and Man Man will be co-headlining the Southgate House Revival on February 21.
Murder by Death is touring in support of their sixth release, Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon. In other news, the band made headlines for becoming the third most-funded music project in Kickstarter’s history, raising nearly $200K through the crowdfunding platform.
I’d be kind of pissed if I helped a band raise, like, 100x my income only to make a shitty album. Fortunately though, the band’s full length debut on Bloodshot Records has received positive coverage. Paste Magazine called Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon Murder by Death’s “most beautiful album to date.”
Meanwhile, weirdos Man Man are still on the road supporting 2011’s Life Fantastic. If anyone still cares about Pitchfork, they graced the album with a 7.4:
“On one end, it’s by far their most tasteful and well-produced record to date. But it contains the darkest, most frightening lyrics Honus has written– which is really saying something.”
Count me in.
