jensenpiece MusicNOW! 2008 Leaks
Ok, so maybe it is not a leak, but one of our favorite weekends of music will be back again in 2008 officially. The crew have just unveiled a new, excellent website (huge improvement) and have the dates for 2008 already set. The 3rd Music NOW! Festival will take place April 3,4, and 5th at Memorial Hall again in Cincinnati. I know that is a long way off, but I am very excited for this already…..

From the MusicNOW! website….

For 2008, the festival returns to the beautiful Memorial Hall with the return of visual artist, Karl Jensen who created the first festival’s stage pieces. The 2008 festival will be held April 3rd, 4th and 5th. The curator, Bryce Dessner, continues to scour the globe for artists to invite. Read more about his vision in an interview from 2007.

Great news about the return of Karl Jensen, more info on him here, and the photo above is of the piece he did for the inaugural event two years ago.

That interview is the one I did with Bryce last year, you can view it here.

That also reminds me that you should get on over to the CEA voting booth and vote for Bryce for Best Musical Ambassador To The City, he is nominated and is our choice for the award.

#1 J-love :

That’s fantastic news, indeed. And I’m glad it is back at Memorial Hall (to celebrate “manliness” and a unique venue). Can’t wait to hear the lineup (I’m pulling for Joanna Newsom as a headliner, but that’s just me).
Bryce gets (and DID get) my CEA vote, too.
