After reading through Sarah Wordens bio, it would be hard to imagine her doing anything that was not related to music. After all, her musical roots run very deep. Her father was a National Accordion Champion, and her mother was the organist at her church growing up. Even her grandfather played an Epiphone. So when the sound of Sarah’s rather innocent and somtimes untamed voice unravels, you can see how family has influenced her work.
You may also know Sarah at a Illinoise cheerleader contributing to her friend Sufjans most recent effort. She will continue to support SS, but his time as an opener for him for a number of his upcoming tour dates. Sarah’s debut album, titled “Bring Me the Workhorse” will be on the street on August 22nd from Asthmatic Kitty. Here is a song from My Brightest Diamond. Enjoy…..
