Not alot of details yet, but the MidPoint account tweeted this morning that Austin based Okkervil River has been added to the already stellar MidPoint lineup for September. What we know now is they are playing that Friday night, and also that we are totally excited to see Will Sheff and company again. Okkervil released one of our favorite album of the year already in I Am Very Far.

This is the bands sixth album and will be their first trip to Cincinnati since a show at the Mad Hatter in Covington back in 2008. They impressed us then, and are sure to again with the new material and an energized MidPoint crowd. A great addition to the current list of MPMF bands this year, and I think this pick leapfrogs the others for me when it comes to bands I am most excited to see.
