Nice post-Thanksgiving concert news to report this morning from Ryan Adams. Ryan took to Facebook this morning to announce some tour dates that take place early in 2012 and they are quite Midwest heavy. Among the dates is a show at the Taft Theatre on January 28th.

Fans of vinyl records probably are already very familiar with Record Store Day, which happens once a year and is like Christmas for collectors. But some might not be as familiar with Record Store Day’s cousin, Black Friday. It’s not only an opportunity to get out and buy some vinyl exclusives but also to support local businesses while so many others are swarming the malls and other big box retailers at the same time.

The Springfield, Missouri based four-piece has had a really consistent string of records since the start, and I always find myself gravitating towards several songs on every one of their releases. The new album, available in stores today, is no exception.
