It has become an age old blogger tale at this point. Get loads of email from promotional outfits on a daily basis, get burned out on said emails and ignore loads of them, find a diamond in the rough and regret ignoring so many emails when there may be more diamonds just waiting to be uncovered.

That is the process several of us go through when it comes to consuming new music, and it happened to me recently with the band Pallers. For some reason, when the temperature drops here in the US, something from the Labrador label sneaks up and catches me off guard. Last year, it was the album from Club 8, The Boy Who Couldn’t Stop Dreaming and this year it might just be the debut disc from Pallers, a duo from Sweden that will be releasing their debut EP and 12″ in December.

I can only tell you what I know about Pallers from one song, but it’s a really great tune. The sound is chilled out electronica in the same vein as a band like Air France or even Junior Boys.
