With so much new music making it’s way through my fingers these days, it is rare that a band that I had zero knowledge of previously ends up really impressing me. I have to give credit where it is due on this one as well, as my friend and co-worker Matt Shiv was the one that uncovered the diamond in the rough that is Pash.

Shiv, and myself were both fans of Velocity Girl some time ago, and so when that name was dropped for the ever interesting RIYL or (recommended if you like), it raised an eyebrow. The result? Well, some indie pop goodness covered with some thicker than expected guitars make this an excellent and underrated album. Pash are a 4-piece hailing from Virginia and this album, titled The Best Gun, is their second full length as a band.

This is also the second go-round in the studio with former Dismemberment Plan member Jason Caddell to come up with these 11 new songs. Check out the downloads below, and also tune in tomorrow afternoon as Pash makes their debut appearance in the WOXY.com Lounge!
