If you happen to be in the Cincinnati area, tonight would be a great night to go out. Austins own, Peter and the Wolf are playing at Alchemize in Northside, and it promises to be a really fun set. I could have sworn that I had already written about Peter and the Wolf, who I found out about at least a year ago thanks to the good folks at the Whiskey and Apples label, and of course, one of their biggest fans over at Gorilla v Bear.
But, I searched my archives and nothing. So, what a better time than now to tell you that the haunting tones of Peter and the Wolf are not to be missed or casually approached. The new album, “Lightness” was just released this week stateside (11/6) and it tells of a sort of post-apocalyptic time period. Red Hunter is showing his best stuff to date with this and I highly recommend you pick up the new disc, and go to the gig tonight. Or how about you pick up the new disc at the gig tonight? Hmmmm?

I am a Peter and the Wolf fan thanks to Bill Baird of Sound Team fame. Baird had some very high marks for PATW when I interviewed Sound Team. I was, very unfortunately, sick during the last Boston appearance (in Somerville, MA actually). Please break down the show for us if you end up going. Cheers!
