One of the better import releases from 2006 was the Peter Bjorn and John disc, Writers Block. Well, the album finally got a US release a couple weeks ago as well via Almost Gold Recordings and came with a bonus disc of extra tracks and remixes from the Writers Block sessions. And while im surprised nobody has started making bad PB&J jokes, it seems some big wigs over at ABC know about these dudes and Young Folks was played during a recent episode of “How I Met Your Mother” and the video can still be found on the TV shows MySpace page.

The remix of Young Folks is a keeper, and the mellow approach on “Self Pity” is a worthy track as well. It gets a bit odd on “Sitar Folks”, which is a Sitar-Instrumental only version of Young Folks, but you gotta flesh out that bonus disc somehow.
