Pomegranates Picking Up Steam…

If you have been hanging around here for a little while you know how we love the young indie poppers known as Pomegranates. Their debut full length album, Everything Is Alive is finally available everywhere now and we suggest you pick it up, yesterday….

And it looks like lots of other people are noticing the boys as well, and I mean lots! Yesterday they were the Spin Artist of the Day for example. Now that I have had the album on repeat for the past month or so, I can honestly say it is one of my favorite albums of 2008, and not just in a local sense, but overall. Their mix of pop, harmonies and clever lyrics are more than enough to appeal to me, and now a much wider audience.

Recently, Islands (who are about to release a great album of their own) were so impressed by the Poms that they asked them to go out and do some additional dates with them after their show together here in town, and the appeal widens….

Have a listen to a track from the new album, as well as a still unreleased tune recorded on WOXY.com last December that should turn up on a future release….
